SEP President Scott Travers is touring the province to meet with members and provide training for lobbying elected representatives. Travers began his tour earlier this month with meetings in Ottawa and Napanee.
Travers is updating members on the progress of SEPs efforts to reform labour and employment laws through the Make It Fair campaign, protect pensions with advocacy against the federal governments Bill C-27 and other initiatives. Along with the updates, members are also receiving similar training on lobbying and advocacy to that which has been provided in Toronto, Bruce County, Oshawa and Pickering.
Meetings are also planned for Burlington (June 7), Niagara (June 8), Barrie (TBD) and Thunder Bay (TBD). Members in those regions will receive invitations when dates are confirmed.
