LAO Lawyers Interim Local Committee

The Interim Local Committee (ILC) of the LAO Lawyers Local is democratically elected and has a mandate to negotiate the Society of United Professionals – LAO framework agreement and the first collective agreement, to provide representational support directly to our members and to advocate internally and externally  on behalf of our members, our clients and access to justice.

The first ILC members were elected in 2017. These members include representatives from various areas of practice, regions and equity seeking groups.

The ILC has set up several subcommittees to accomplish these various goals:

• REPRESENTATIONAL SUBCOMMITTEE
• EXTERNAL RELATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE
• MEMBER OUTREACH SUBCOMMITTEE
